Area of Operations: The Balkans JOA is delineated as the political boundaries and airspace of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Republic of Yugoslavia (including Kosovo), the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (1) and Albania.

Qualifying Service: The qualifying period in the Balkans JOA is 30 days continuous or accumulated service from 1 January 2003 and a termination date.
